When your little one becomes an infant, things start changing, whether your baby has struggled with sleep from the beginning or has been an amazing newborn sleeper. As newborns pave their way into becoming infants, they go through many changes in their sleep patterns because their sleep becomes more mature and complex.
Newborns only have two sleep cycles which are both extremely deep. On the contrary, adults have four sleep cycles of which two are lighter than the sleep experienced by a newborn. When babies hit the 4th month mark, these sleep cycle changes start to happen which in turn can cause the best sleepers to become bad sleepers overnight.
